This course is designed for students, new grads, and experienced clinicians who feel they lack the confidence or skillset of treating cervicothoracic pathologies. The course will cover effective evaluation, diagnosing, and treatment of Cervical and Thoracic dysfunction, aligning physical therapy techniques with evolving evidence based guidelines in clinical practice.  We will review the current evidence for the treatment of pathologies such as concussion, whiplash, headaches, mechanical neck pain and radicular neck pain. Course will discuss red flags and safety concerns when utilizing manual therapy, especially manipulation or thrust joint mobilization of the cervical spine. Orthopedic manual therapy techniques and specialized training and certification are the core components of this course.  The lab components will allow for interactive learning of manipulations, nerve glide techniques, and functional movements patterns/motor control concepts of the cervicothoracic region. Treatment progression will be highlighted to guide the advancement of treatment strategies, aiming to restore optimal function and prevent future impairments.
